Medical Direction Committee
The Medical Direction Committee serves as a forum for physicians to discuss and develop a unified
approach to issues affecting EMS providers in Allegheny County.
The committee has tackled many issues over the years to include hospital diversion, pre-hospital education, and the introduction of
new protocols and fieldprocedures. Committee
membership is
restricted to those physicians who represent hospitals,
accredited medical command facilities and licensed EMS Agencies.
